Life is beta
临近毕业，开始认真考虑国内的机会。 关于回国，这些年分析来，分析去，就那些破事儿。 关于自己的都基本可以克服和释怀，唯独放不下一件事儿：孩子的教育环境。
照片里面这个小老头叫Jeff Jarvis. 浸淫新闻出版业多年，目前是City University of New York大学互动新闻的教授，写了《What would Gooogle do?》 更多介绍在这里。
我注意到他是因为他在TEDxNYED上的演讲。TEDxNYED是TED一年一度的盛会。就是在这个思想领袖云集的论坛上，这个小老头质疑起了TED的形式，然后将话题衍射到了先阶段的教育，新闻媒体状况。 他的总结，也就是演讲题目就是：
在演讲中，Jeff提到了教育和新闻形式已经远落后于我们所处的时代。吸引眼球的是他提出的解决方案： 新闻要联合，贴近社区，让社区（人们）作为新闻发起的起点；商业上，把客户提升到商业决议段；教育上，把学生提到教育链的最前端，教育的主要目的是使一个大劲儿让学生知道自己兴趣所向。 Jeff甚至提出了大学采用GOOGLE 20%方案来鼓励学生寻找自己兴趣。
采两段段印象深刻的话：
- So we need to move students up the education chain. They don’t always know what they need to know, but why don’t we start by finding out? Instead of giving tests to find out what they’ve learned, we should test to find out what they don’t know. Their wrong answers aren’t failures, they are needs and opportunities.
- We must stop looking at education as a product – in which we turn out every student giving the same answer – to a process, in which every student looks for new answers. Life is a beta.
关键是在Jeff在TEDxNYED上完成了这个“反动”演讲后，没有他想象的”get tomatoes — organic — thrown at me at the first line”, 而是得到了“got laugh and so everything we OK from there”。 没有人指责他反党反国反河蟹误不尊重权威专家导舆论制造危机。 生活在这样一个宽松的环境中想想都幸福的哆嗦。
天朝那边呢？ That’s really bullshit. 党国要求我们“多看多听多学习，好汉也可以变孬种”。
在这样的教育环境下，我夫妇面对回国后的严峻形势，积极筹划，远离脑残老师，脑僵专家，脑固定大爷大妈，任重道远。
